Fast food, or “junk food,” is a type of cuisine that originated in the West but has become a common part of modern society. We see these restaurants everywhere, offering convenient and quick meal options. However, this convenience comes at a cost to your health.<\/p>\n
Many people know that fast food isn’t very healthy, but for people with diabetes, the negative health effects are far more significant. To understand why, let’s first look at the seriousness of diabetes itself.<\/p>\n
The danger of diabetes isn’t in its common symptoms\u2014like fatigue, frequent thirst, or increased urination\u2014which aren’t immediate emergencies. Instead, the real danger is that diabetes is a chronic disease that can lead to various complications, especially when not managed properly through diet.<\/p>\n

Refined Flour: Stripped of nutrients, refined flour has a high glycemic index (GI), causing a rapid spike in blood sugar.<\/p>\n
Saturated Fats: Found in animal fats, palm oil, and butter, these fats can clog arteries and lead to atherosclerosis. Diabetics are already at a high risk for this condition, so consuming saturated fats frequently increases that risk even further.<\/p>\n
